Bo's tracetory is really aligning with Bruce's with the Buckeyes.

I have heard that one of the reasons why Earl was fired was because he pissed off the family that owned the Columbus Dispatch/WBNS. He held his own against Michigan (better than Cooper).

Why was he let go?

It probably had little to do with the average man on the street. When the cigars decide they want a coach to hit the road it usually happens unless there is a strong AD.

Fired because he went 9-3 every year.

A lot of people say that OSU lost the "National Program" moniker in the Bruce era and didn't get it back until the 1993 UDub game.

But who cares about being a "National Program" when you are losing games 13-9 against inferior talent when the National Title is on the line.

I dunno why tOSU fired Earl Bruce. He had GREAT leadership qualities. Almost like some sort of Captain . . .
