Bo Pelini Negative Achievements

Polo/Sker/Landlord,

Neither of you guys are going to change the others opinion. Nothing positive comes from this for either side. Each hate the comment made by the other and stands their ground. We have some good things, we have some bad things, and we have some things both sides would like to see change. The one main thing is that we all love the Huskers. Your not a better fan because you love Bo, your not a better fan because you hate him. This team needs to be united, work together, and as fans we need to do the same. We have given Bo 6 years, he has at least one more. I would like to see us all try our best to do the best for the team. A united front for the year, then if things are not in step, we will most likely realize it.
Bo's got plenty of support already. It's been proven he has a longer leash than any coach since Devaney here, I don't think more rope is the solution for him.
Fortunately, it's not your call to make.

Polo, he has the leash for another year. Make the best of it, is all I am saying.. This might just be the year that everything comes together on both sides of the ball, recruiting and anger management.

Not going to be a change, and I think it is better for the program, to endorse this year. Helps with recruiting at the very least.

You think he's getting more leeway than Callahan (2 losing seasons in 4) and Solich (ran #1 program in the country into the ground)?
Pray tell. I'd love to see this story.
Simple, Bo apparently Has legions of myopians willing to put him above the program whereas if you put some of Bo's actions like messing with the Blackshirt tradition, audio gate or finishing 4th in the conference on the other coaches it either ended with their termination or widespread vitriol.

The Wyoming game was a pretty embarrassing defensive performance.
The Cornhusker incident.

Meltdowns on and off the field.

PeLLLLini.
My biggest gripe with Bo will always be the Washington bowl game. No excuse for that.
1. the blowout losses2. regularly losing to teams we should not lose to.

3. a few other things that are not a big deal except for the cumulative effect.

Already surpassing the number of positive achievements in the positive achievements thread . . . priceless.

I have a hard time believing me being critical has any affect on recruiting.

Go home Polo, you're drunk.

That must be it. Clearly it's not me being a NU for a long time and posting here a lot and seeing the same red flags crop up, and remember the reactions when Solich and Callahan and see the difference with Bo. Cuz he's a "genius", or learning, or because he was a DC that one year.

Whatever man.

The 2012 B10 Championship game probably is the worst loss in the history of Husker football......I mean Callahan being down 35 at home to Okie Lite in 2007 with fans filing out in droves wouldn't come close to Pelini's uncountable embarrassments.
You're probably right about OSU being worse. I had managed to block out most of the Callahan era and forgot about that performance.

Regardless, we're trying to decide which turd looks better.

Maybe if you weren't full of hyperbole and always creating an imaginary army of people to fight against, you'd get more traction.

Um, were not even close to surpassing the positive achievements...

This is alot less funny and alot more sad of a thread than I imagined it would be.

What other coaches?

I personally don't have an issue with what he has done with the Blackshirt Tradition. I like the idea of them earning them during the season against true competition than them just earning them at the beginning of the season just for the sake of earning them.

Have no issues with audio gate either, because as a fan that will always stay in the stands no matter what for the team until the game is actually over, I am not in the same boat as those whom he was cursing. In fact, those fans piss me off too. Especially the damn fans that tell me and others to sit down despite there being exciting things happening during the game. We all know you're quite the fair weather fan.

What coach hasn't ever finished 4th?

Urban Meyer finished tied for 6th in 2010. And it was CRAZY when he left out of nowhere. Would it be too much to say that Nick Saban finished tied for 4th the same season? Pete Carroll finished 5th in 2009 with USC. Mark Dantonio finished tied for 7th in 2012...
