Bob Stoops

I just read that when it was known that TO was stepping down, AD Bill Byrne was in contact w/Bob Stoops, and Stoops was interested in taking over the program. Instead, TO hand-picked his successor, Frank S. I wonder what would have happened if Byrne would have made the decision instead of TO.

I posed the same question and questioned TO's judgement in appointing his successor and by the responses here you would have thought I kicked their grandpa in the teeth.

I can tell you one thing, we certainly would not be where we are right now, or where we are going.

This program would have been playing for NC's on a regular basis, not sitting at home for the holidays.

Are you kidding? Stoops would have been hard pressed to have the same record as Frankie and when he lost to KSU in the big 12 game Pederson would have said I refuse to allow Kansas State to dominate the big 12.
