Genesee County, IL -- Tuesday a Fenton chiropractor was charged with sexually assaulting his patients. Investigators say Dr. Robert Moore inappropriately touched three of his patients numerous times.
After taking a look at the evidence, Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton has decided to charge Moore with 10 counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Moore walked into court with his wife on one arm and his bible in the other. He faced the judge, who charged him with 10 counts of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct.
"Which means no penetration but improper touching," Leyton said.
Moore's alleged victims -- two of them teenagers -- include a job applicant, an employee and a patient. They claim Moore required them to receive physicals to work there.
And during their appointments, they say Moore would grope their breasts.
"He touched their breasts, saying he had to do it as part of the adjustment and in one instance he said he had to because their breasts were uneven and he had to do something about it," Leyton said.
When these accusations first came out, Moore's license was suspended, but in November it was reinstated. Moore's attorney says he's been back in business ever since.
The attorney general's office is still seeking to suspend Moore's license. That decision will be made in May.
Moore's attorney Lisa Kirsch Satawa says Moore did nothing wrong and continues to offer professional ethical and appropriate care for his patients.
Moore did post bond and is out of jail. Each count he faces carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
