OU up by 30 risks a National Championship by playing the Heisman Trophey winner, calling timeouts, etc. trying to impress sports writers by running up the score in a game already won. :blink: :blink: :blink:
NU in an effort to prove that we have heart may have given up a bowl appearance by having Ross continue to pound the ball late in the game down by 30. :box Maybe Steve Pederson took NU plus 30 with his bookie :waste so we needed to risk Ross getting hurt to beat the spread. Will Ross be 75% by next week? With turf toe he should have been in ice the entire 4th quarter.
NU play calling in the 2nd and 3rd quarters appeared to be aimed at running the clock trying to keep from allowing 50 or 60 points. It worked as we lost the second half 7-3. So other than the 2nd quarter, we looked good. Fourth quarter and down 30...why can't we get some experience for other QB's....it's obvious Dailey is not the QB of the future. If the other QB's are that bad, why then are we risking our "good" QB to injury when down 30 in the 4th. Admittedly, Dailey has been awful, but BC and most of the fans seem to think he is the best we have. We would need him vs CU, not when were down 30 vs OU. Just stupid
