Bowden stripped of 14 wins

The NCAA Division I Infractions Appeals Committee has upheld the decision to penalize Florida State for academic cheating, meaning retired football coach Bobby Bowden's record has been stripped of 14 victories.

 

The NCAA made the announcement Tuesday but made no mention of Bowden's record

I received the ESPN text alert this morning saying the same thing and that Bowden's win total would be reduced to 375.

I just got another text saying that the NCAA is still to determine vacated wins before it affects Bowden's official win total.

WTH?? Make a decision!!

 
I dont feel sorry for him, mainly in part because we were hosed in 93 because everyone wanted the dumb bastard to get his NC.

 
I heard that one of his games he had to forfeit was the 93 Orange Bowl.......giving NU another NC

Makes me wonder if years from now they'll be stripping some Carroll era USC wins after the NCAA finishes their investigation?
