LINCOLN - Brandon Jackson grabs the Polaroid from his bag and tapes it to his locker. Every game. He kisses it. He asks God to let the man in the photo watch over him.

Nebraska's Brandon Jackson brings a Polaroid picture of his late father with him to every game.

And then he turns toward the football field, where a lonely boy can act a man.

Early on in the season he was one of my least favorites of the backs. Now he is one of my favorites. I love watching that kid play. He plays with such passion and desire!

I respect all of these guys for what they are doing this year. Each one of them could start almost anywhere else but stay here and do the best they can. GREAT TEAM ATTITUDE!!!!!!!!

Finally good to see this kid injury free for longer than 5 minutes. I am sure he feels the same way. :horns2

He has really stepped up this year. At the beginning of the year, it was Lucky's game breaker ability that people liked, Glenn had that power, and Wilson will forever be remembered for that clip in practice where he broke something like 8 tackles. Jackson never really had anything to get the crowd to excited. He just went about his business and is right in the thick of things going into a very important game.

Great article, I agree he is the #1 I-Back we have he gets out there and makes big plays and when you think he is going down he pops out and rushes for a few more yards or even better. He hasn't had a 140+ yards like some of the other backs but you can tell he has the talent to rush for that much if not more. He seems like he just knows how to read a D line and knows when to make his cuts to get up field.
