Breaking news: Clemens just announced he's going to pitch for NY!

Your white knight in shining armor is a 44 year old that has yet to play this season. The Yankees should now be sponsored by geritol.

i sense jealousy.

he may not have pitched yet but he keeps in great shape, theres no denying that. and he is still one of the greatest pitchers in this day and age.

Anyone remember when Clemens went to the Astros and Yankee fan burned his uniform in effigy? Oh well, all is forgotten I guess.

Pretty rad gig for the Rocket though. Miss spring training, let the steroids filter out, get paid 4 mil a month for a team likely missing the playoffs

I wouldn't mind it if the Rocket pitched for the Dodgers, but the fact remains that the Yanks still need 2-3 other starters(depending on if Wang, Pavano and Mussina get healthy). I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a charge and get in, then lose in the divisional series again. I also wouldn't be surprised to see them finish 4th in their division.

I would. The Dodgers have maybe the best pitching from starters to the bullpen in the majors, but they are all fragile. Bringing him in would just ruin that. Penny is great only if he is in a good mood (look at the sh#t fit he threw when Maddux wanted "his" number and his record thereafter), Lowe is too concerned with which LA anchorwoman he should tap, and Bilingsley has zero confidence.

If anything, how about trade for a deep threat. And sit Betemit and let Loney play. Please.

Wow, you could never know there could be so much wrong with a first place team.

He likely visits the same chemist that keeps Bonds producing so well at his advanced age.
That is impossible. Clemens is a stand up guy and would never take anything that wasn't legal. :sarcasm There are all kinds of 45 year old pitchers that still throw in the high 80's. Oh and that have gotten just as big over the years as Barry has. Not saying he is on the juice................well maye I am. <_<
