I listened to it live. At one point talking about helping his succesor did he maybe accidentally almost say 'nephew'? Does he have a nephew that could be an AD?

 
If "he" wants to talk to you, Dr. Osborne? Well, I didn't want the job anyway. *runs off in a huff*

As far as I know, his nephew (and brother) own a irrigation mfg'er in Hastings. Unless he has other nephews?

One thing I noticed was the comments about previous AD's. He mentioned Devaney and even Pederson, but no $ Bill Byrne. I always got the impression they were happy to part ways.

Could be. Im not totally familiar with the Osborne family tree, I just know what I know. It's not the first time he's slipped. Remember the "new staff comment" a few days after taking the job?
