Bullocks and the draft

Pedro Guerrero

Team HuskerBoard
I know this is off topic. A guy from draftblitz.com said the other day on the radio that Bullocks could go as high as the Second round. He said if he comes out and puts up numbers like he should at the combine then he should go pretty high. He did go on to say that he could also drop to the fifth round though.

Back to the topic I thought the World Herald had a little write up about this last week. I though it said Adams and Ross were playing in the same game. I don't recall which one though.

im gonna go off topic here 2... from wat ive heard, bullocks is anywhere from the 8-10 safety in the draft, and le kevin and titus are about the same prospect apparently because they are rating about 8-12 at dt on every place i've looked at. I think le kevin will be the better pro, but next year is the huskers year in the draft imo...

and back on topic... u gotta love these games. i love watchin em just to see wat the players do w/ completely diff people and everything and how they handle everything.

NFL combine

Players who've been invited to 2006 NFL Scouting Combine

Jan. 11, 2006

Camp will be held Feb. 22-28 at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. It is open to college seniors, to underclassmen who've declared for the draft and to those who aren't playing collegiate football if they are in what would be their natural draft year. Participants are chosen by a selection committee comprised of the directors of the National and Blesto scouting services, which represent 26 NFL teams, and five members of NFL player personnel departments.

i think bullocks is a late third rounder but that is just my opinion... and then le kevin is close to that in the third round. cory ross is prolly a 5-7 round pick but i like his chances as a sproles type pick up last year in the draft at about that time.

I think that Ross will go 5-7, but it would would not surprise me if someone grabbed him earlier. It also wouldn't surprise if Bullocks went in the second. D-backs are always a hot item.

From dan's good junior season, I thought he would have a light's out senior season...and we all know that wasn't the case. Also thought his draft stock was way down after the season, but glad to hear he is doing well so far before the draft.

me either... he seemed inconsistent in the season for nebraska, i cant see him being a second round... i like le kevin better myself as an nfl player

ur right... i dont understand these draft things... if i were a nfl gm i would go after a consistent player, not a player w/ alot of upside, but that is just me

Fabian landed in the first round and he looked pretty horrible at times in '04.
and, i think even more surprisingly, he did pretty well during his rookie season. and he was drafted that high purely b/c of his speed! IMO a speedster is going to do better in the NFL vs College b/c of some of the rule differences but his success so far still surprised me.

As far as bullocks, if a 40-time can put Fabian into the 1st round, then i wouldn't be surprised to see Dan go in the second. from the practices they've had on tv, he played very well. he was always near the ball, had a couple INTs and a couple near INTs (that would have been hard to catch). he looked every bit the ballhawk his brother was in '03. Kiper was giving him props even before he impressed in practices. so maybe they saw something in his Husker film that we didn't see, for one, he didn't exactly have a stellar supporting cast around him in the secondary last year.

if i were a nfl gm i would go after a consistent player, not a player w/ alot of upside, but that is just me
slightly off topic as far as Nebraska players but as far as consistancy... has anyone seen Watson from Michigan? the rant on the guy of course is that he was horribly inconsistant- he would have an amazing game one week, then disappear the next week.

The ESPN and NFL Network commentators brought that up every time the guy came on the screen. Thing is, he sure wasn't inconsistant in the practices, he looked like he was going 110% every drill. good thing he happened to pick up his effort the scouts were watching :thumbs
