Burkhead should be 100% for the Michigan game.

Absolutely correct Lo country. This staff is ruining this kid. Let him heal, obviously he has not and will not. Such a great kid and I am sure he is telling them he is fine, but it takes time to heal, let him heal, if he is ready towards the end of the season or if we get a bowl game let him play.
I concur, makes me wonder if he's been "right" since Iowa last year?
He was more than fine 1st couple runs against So Miss before the injury. Was quickest since he's been here. As far as the staff "ruining" him. I dont believe that one bit. Be real. Our coaches are not going to jeopardize the health of the most popular player for the sake of a few yards, especially with the depth we have.
I'm not saying the staff ruined him, he's a hard nose kid, and maybe he thought he could play through it...

He has went down now three times in a single year. He was not ready, but like I said he said he was. The staff has to know he is not healed. But they let him play. There are adults who should be making those choices not a kid that lives to play. I hope they give him the time to heal so he can be drafted and not as a risk. Right now my guess is that his draft status has taken quite a hit.

that's the thing. When someone says "the coaches ruined" him, it's an insinuation(even if it wasnt intentional-apologies for over-analyzing) they stuck him out there with both parties knowing of an injury. That's not happening. This is a situaion probably of a hard headed Rex probalby overplaying his health and feeling, and doctors struggling as game time gets closer to come up with objectional evidence. The man would play in a body cast if we let him.

thats exactly it, he'd run through a brick wall....

Adult guidance was and is needed. Kids like Rex will always say they are ready.

I have the same problem, both knees replaced on the 19th of March, walked out the next day, had pain until the middle of July. But would never admit it. Hard headed, can do it attitude, but not always right. I am 65 years old and have no future in football, Rex does and the staff may have hurt him by letting him playl.
