I'm pretty sure rex is third string, there is no way James White would be 6th string.

New England depth charts mean nothing, especially at RB. It's not even clear from this graphic whether Rex is 2, 3, or 4, haha. And is Mike Gillislee really 5? He was their "big" signing at RB this offseason.

That second line is their 3rd down pass catching back. James White had 39 rushing attempts for 161 yards and 0 TD last season and 60 receptions for 551 yards and 5 TD.

I know he had a big super bowl, but they were in pass happy catch up mode all second half.
