He did the right thing, but I'm thinking this was one of those deals where they told him, you can either give it up voluntarily or we're going to take it from you, like "resign or we're going to fire you."

Bush was just the one guy under Carroll to get caught. You cannot tell me there weren't more than the usual amount of shenanigans going on at USC while he was there. Five-star RBs don't typically go to a school where they're going to have to sit behind two or three other five-star RBs for a year or two before they ever see the field. Same goes for their WRs, their QBs, etc.

Does this mean Pete Carroll ran a dirty program? Sure seems like it. I wonder how much complicity there was between boosters and USC athletic dept.
