Bye week What did we learn watching other teams this week

I learned Wisconsin is having serious issues. Iowa is likely the best team we will play the rest of the season. Maryland can’t play football 2nd half of the season as well.

Rhule's "if we die,we die" speech was dropped and was great.

Undefeated in bye weeks!!!!.

Carter Nelson went to Notre Dame.

A lot of crazy games this weekend.  Oregon vs Washington, CU vs Stanford

Hopefully we are getting healthy, staying focused, working on the option and some passing that both Sims and HH can do.

Really, really, really want to win at least 3 of the remaining 6 games....Like really

In theory, we should haven't have an issue making a bowl game given how mediocre or bad most of the opponents left on our schedule are.  In reality, I still feel like 5 wins is our most likely outcome with 6 wins coming in second.

I’ve learned that getting to 20 points in a game will put NU in a great position to win that game.

Also Braelon Allen was a lot better as a freshman than he is right now.

Washington and Oregon are better than USC and UCLA.  Wazzou sucks and Oregon State is sneaky. Michigan is for real. Kentucky and Kansas are not Top 25 teams. Texas A&M may be the most talented bad team. We got Colorado at the worst possible time. Would be a better match up now.

Big 10 West is pure garbage…but a perfect cure for insomnia.  There is not a single QB in the entire division that would start on any D1 team located outside of that division.  And, before you tell me how tough the defenses are in the West…it’s only because they are playing against the horrendous offenses of the West.

What I’ve been saying for weeks was reinforced. That we go 5-1 down the stretch and get 8 regular season wins..

The Big 10 has perhaps the best three teams in the country, and then hot garbage to fill out the rest. (This is good for a Nebraska surge to end the season).

I’ve been waiting too many years for the SEC to cycle out as the dominant conference. I think it’s finally happening.

I’d rather be a team that loses a tough defensive battle than a track race shootout. #coloradosucks #deionsucks

I learned that a Beaver, when speaking of the Oregon St. mascot, is a rodent, and the North American beaver has a longer lifespan than the European beaver.

I hope you’re right.  The barriers to this type of success as I see it are an inconsistent ( and mostly bad) special teams and our history of not stringing together >2 wins in a row.   If Rhule pulls off an 8 win season, he should be national COTY.

Teams should just fair catch kickoffs. There are too many penalties called on kickoffs to make it worth the one TD you might return if lucky a season.

Do you see the stuff there are doing on punts to try to get the other team to touch the ball now?

Also think Georgia looked a little more beatable

they have some injuries. Michigan might be the best team in the country

I learned I’m still pissed that Whipple picked Pop Watson instead of Avery Johnson.  Avery’s gonna be a better version of AMart and would made a great addition to NU in Rhules offense.
