Call me crazy

You guys can call me crazy but i think that Zach Taylor is by far the toughest player on the team without a doubt. I love how he will stand in the pocket and take a hit for the team without thinking twice about it. He's also one heck of a passer. What does everybody else think about this?

First of all, WELCOME. Yes ,Taylor is a warrior. He is willing to take the hit if it benifits his team. A true team player.

true he has shown us this year that he is one tuff S.O.B! taking all kinds of hits but you also have to admit that he is tuff mentally from all bad talking that some of us huskers fans have done, and he'll be even alot tuffer next year when i gurantee that he get hit nearly as much as he did this year

Toughest... tied, with Cory Ross, who carried this team on his back last year while playing nearly every game injury, but it was certainly nice to have TWO tough Sob's out there carrying the team, and when one threw to the other, artistry in motion.

i will tell you this......if Beck is going to beat him out next year he will have to play his a$$-off! taylor can scramble for positive yards too.....he looked great last Saturday! :thumbs

This is an ideal circumstance for Beck. It is obvious he isn't ready and this next year will be a great learning situation for him without being thrown to the wolves as a starter. That would set his pyche back. Next year with a stronger team he'll ge a chance to get more reps like at the end of the CU game.

:yeah

He looked better than Vince Young that day for sure. He scrambled like I have never seen before.

Agreed. Taylor is physically and mentally tough, but above all he has great charactor. Keep up the good work Zac! GBR

:yeah Zac is a surprising warrior for the Big Red. I say "surprising" because his background is OU - a long time rival of NU!

Its obvious that Zac has become a "Husker" in the truest sense of the word.

Does that mean the true spirit of Nebraska football extends to players who love this game for what it is? Who respond to loyal fans? Who care more for the tradition and University than they care for NFL $ ....?

Yes! Yes! and Hell Yes!

i read an interview with him in LJS or OWH and the reporter asked if he was going to be more cautious when running the ball after the hit he took against KSU. he replied "if the team needs me to get an extra yard i am going to try to get the extra yard"

did anyone see him slide to avoid a hit on friday? i dont remember if he did but i do remember him puttint his head down trying to get the first down on a couple of scrambles.

did anyone notice the CU players trying to put thier shoulders or helmet to Zac's helmet. maybe i was looking at things harder then i should but it sure seemed that way to me
