Yesterday I was informed that three of our players were involved in a situation on Saturday evening in which two players were ticketed and one player was arrested. I called all three players into my office to discuss the situation that had occurred and explained to them that there are many choices, decisions and consequences that every individual is accountable for. These players are accountable for their actions and were apologetic to me personally and do have remorse for their actions.
"We have simple team rules-do what is right, be on time and work hard. I will not tolerate players that are not committed to winning a national championship, on and off the field. Incidents like this are unacceptable. It is an embarrassment to the University, our football program, the community and to the families of the athletes involved. As members of the Nebraska football program we are held to a higher standard. It is a privilege to participate in intercollegiate athletics.
"In addition to any legal ramifications the players may face, there will be internal disciplinary measures taken. The players involved will be closely scrutinized from this time forward."
Sounds pretty good to me. Because its the first event like this he is going to have be firm. Welcome back to college Cally.......oh wait you had a bunch of imature a$$hole$ last year, nevermind.
