Callahan's decision to kick??!?!?!?!?

Callahan trying to kick on the 6 inch line tells the offensive line he has no confidence in them at all. He has preached short yardage situations the whole camp. A simply QB sneak works 95% of the time. Let Joe jumped over the pile. :flush Right in the crapper, the opportunity that is.

 
Yea, I have to agree about going for it. I couldn't believe when I saw the kick team come out! Oh well, we won :)

What I find funny is that when it doesn't matter, most people don't care. :)

 
yeh really las wk people were runing their mouths allz damn day after the loss but now seems like noone really cares. badweather boarders!!

Yes it seems like Callahan played his hand a bit more conservatively this game. He almost tried TOO hard to play the safe hand.. which IMO got us into trouble on the one yd line which led to that bad snap. hell we were dominating the whole drive, after all if we cant get 6 inches we dont deserve to win. Plus what was the worst that could happen, they get the ball on downs and we have them on the 1 - our D was absolutely stifiling them so they most likely wouldve punted to us and we get it back at midfield. But yada yada I know just monday morning QB mumbo jumbo. But thats what this thing is for right?!! :)

 
I think 99% of the coaches in the country, Pee wee through Pro go for it.

Does Callahn get nervous out on the field?? He hasn't been coaching here long enough to get a good read on him.

 
Yes it was definitly a horrid decision. Especially when we botch the snap anyways. Do we not have a play for kriewald? He would have made it with ease in my mind.

 
I say we should of tried to sneak it in with JD. Even if he doesn't get it then Pitt has the ball at the 6 in. line and our defense goes to work.

Agree completely GC. :thumbs Our D was obliterating them. Their heads were spinning trying to figure outta decent play to run. :flush

yep either give to kriewald, or sneak it and worst case scenerio is they have the ball on the half inch line.
