Interesting that the NCAA is saying that about Nebraska.
Sam's article about scanned tickets seems to call this into question, especially in 2017, the nadir of the Riley Era.
Here's Nebraska's attendance numbers for the past two seasons.
2017
90,171
89,664
89,775
89,860
89,346
89,721
90,046
2018
89,853
89,360
88,911
89,272
88,735
88,316
88,793
If we're at 100% or more of capacity, what's capacity? I've always thought that it was around 90,000, but
I'm not finding an official source saying that's the case. If it *is* 90k, those numbers would put us below capacity most every game the last two years.
The closest thing I could find to anything claiming to be official is
this article from HuskerOnline saying that an Athletic Department source told them official capacity is 85,458. That's news to me, since the last time I can recall a hard number from UNL was 90,000 after the 2013 East Stadium Expansion.
If capacity is just over 85K, that puts us well over capacity the last two years. Which is a testament to the loyalty of Husker fans, since those last two years featured eight losses out of fourteen home games.
