Captains???

JB Phillips or Nunn on offense.

McKeon and or Ruud on defense.

Eisenhart or Grixby for special teams.

After 2004, I doubt there will be captains elected that are not seniors.

I know that Keller has not played a down for Nebraska, but if he has won the respect of his teammates and is seen as a hard worker and a leader in his teammates eyes, then he deserves to be a captain.

I say Nunn and McKeon as far as special teams I gotta go with Eisenhart.

I just don't see Ruud as being the vocal leader that the defense will need. His brother wasn't very vocal and I think that hurt. They appear to be the "lead by example" types.(which isn't bad)

I like McKeon also

Maybe Byford on offense

So if I were to say for offensive captain.......Purify! Would that add a couple pages to this topic. Of course I would never pick him. :hellloooo

I say:

O: Nunn

D: Mckeon (just because he has been more consistent and is a proven leader)

SP: Eisenhart

:corndance

I just can not see Keller being a captain.

He has not played a down for Nebraska, quit another program. That in my mind takes him out of the picture.
My thoughts exactly. Hopefully he commits to the "I'm a Husker now" mentality. But a captain has to be someone that has been here for at least a couple years. I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it being mandatory that they be a 4-year member as a requirement.

Don't you think that Grixby would have to be the Special Team Captain?
