Was the starting QB for the team that knocked Arch Manning's team out of the playoffs last fall.  Destroyed them really.

But our offer appears to be on defense.

Not trying to be cocky but athletes like him are a dime a dozen down here, so he doesn't really stand out. Reminds me a bit of Shamar Smith who played for us a few years back and won a state title, and is now at Nicholls.

I grew up in South Florida so yes I agree on him. Maybe his offer isn’t commitable yet, but it’s always good to be that first offer if the kid develops more physically. He’s already a playmaker and a winner, but only plays QB in HS.

Sounds like we're mostly looking at him as a corner.  But we also talked to him about having a package as a Wildcat quarterback.

Kinda surprised we never got CTB involved on offense (wildcat or just RB/WR), particularly in 2020 when we really needed playmakers. But I suppose the Covid year wasn't the time to be messing around with that, and we were trying to get consistency with the regulars. But still, we needed any kind of spark and he was always exciting with the ball in his hands - take away most of the judgment required as the punt returner and it would've been cool.

In any case glad to see we will consider creative ways to get athletes involved. Going back further, it's a shame we didn't get Amukamara involved on offense or as a returner.
