CBS predicting what would be an awesome match up

First time I have seen a projection like this. Assuming we beat OU, I am praying that this pans out.

Comment: The ACC champion is locked to the Orange Bowl and Virginia Tech is projected to win the conference. The Hokies are the only team in the ACC with zero conference losses. The Orange Bowl gets the next selection after the Sugar Bowl, but won't have many choices. It basically will have a choice between the Big East champion or Stanford. Geographically, the Big East champion is the better selection, so Connecticut is the pick here.
Comment: The Big 12 champion automatically goes to the Fiesta Bowl, so with Oklahoma's win over Oklahoma State, the Sooners should win the three-way tiebreaker (highest BCS team) and beat Nebraska in the Big 12 title game. The Fiesta Bowl gets the last at-large pick, so it will either be the Big East champion or a one-loss Stanford. If Stanford is ranked in the Top 4 of the BCS, it gets an automatic bid to a BCS bowl.
^^^ Doesn't seem like they have much faith in us <_<

Yeah, we've been discussing the different scenarios here. As mentioned in that thread, Stewart Mandel and Chris Dufresne suggested that if West Virginia wins the Big East and Virginia Tech wins the ACC, then the Orange Bowl is really interested in hosting that game. In which case, Stanford would go to the Fiesta. Dufresne further said that if UConn wins the Big East, then the Orange would likely take Stanford instead. Who knows, but it'll be interesting to see how it all ends up.
