Damn. Completely different 10 day weather forecast.

24 hours ago, 79°, mostly sunny, 20% rain, ENE 5 mph winds. Now 88°, thunderstorms, S direction 8 mph winds.

A couple of days in the future, my guess in weather forecast (August 28), 100°, strong thunderstorms and howling 25+ winds.

Akron was at night. We’ll be alright for our normal morning time slot. But if it does storm,  hopefully some lessons were learned about not leaving an entire crowd sitting unsheltered as a thunderstorm marches toward the stadium. 

 
I will be at the game and it now sounds like its going to be very hot (around 90 degrees). Hopefully a cold front will move through to cool it down.

On a side note, is the band traveling to Champaign? My kids are hoping to see them perform before the game.

Band is not traveling this season.

 
Illinois opened up new sections for ticket sales.  Either Husker fans are heading to the game or Illini fans actually remembered they have a new coach and it is the home opener.  Still won't be shocked if there are under 40,000 fans.
