Change name??

Lots of talk going on about other schools having to change their nicknames because some parties are offended by it, namely the Native Americans, but what if the Huskers had to change their name. Let's say the farmers became very upset by it.

What names could you propose??

University of Nebraska Wind

University of Nebraska Strong Cold Fronts

University of Nebraska Sand Hills

 
We did change our name some years back from Cornhuskers to just Huskers. Apparently, it had something to do with the image we were portraying to out of state students. We didn't want to look to "hickish" I guess.

 
Weren't we once called Rattle Snake Boys and changed it to Bugeaters then to Cornhuskers. I think either Iowa or Kansas had the Cornhusker name first....?

Nebraska Prairie Dogs.....sounds threatening

 
Nebraska Blackshirts......very interesting. Then what would our defence be called...the Cornhuskers? ;)
