just came here to post this. I noticed Antonio Bell was Dennards replacment for the bowl game when he got kicked out and is now projected to start. Wonder how long he can hold off Seisay thou.

I, for one, hope that Ciante Evans isn't on the first team....he reminds me too much of Anthony West.
I dont think hes quite that bad, but im going to give him a break, he admitted he didnt know the defense and the times he got beat he was lining up wrong. I think this was a case of our secondary coach not knowing the scheme as well as he should have and concentrating on technique more the the fundamentals of the defensive scheme, which they went back to teaching this spring. I think Carl got away from this last year as well, since Bo was pre occupied with the Offense, while Carl was saying things to the media about our defense being way beyond the fundamentals and so good in our base defense they were working on special packages. One things for sure no one knows Bo scheme better then Bo and he was focusing on the secondary all spring. Hoping for an improvement out of Evans, hes athletic and fast enough....better then blatchford or thorell at least.

would be hard to project him as the starter when hes not even on campus yet. Kind of disrespectful to Fish. I have not been impressed with Fish either, but i wasnt impressed wth compton until middle of last year, same with Dillard in his time. Bo has said the old Fish is back, so well see.

Compton has been wildly inconsistent throughout most of his career, but really started to come on strong last year and will probably be a valuable asset this year. And, yes, it's tough to put Anderson on the two-deep when he's not even on campus.

By the time the season rolls around, we could see a lot of changes to this two deep.

Eight senior starters. Hopefully that means we've got guys who know what they're doing. Because it means we're going to have a totally different look in '13.

I would love to see SJB start at the nickel. As I have been preaching. Perfect size to step into the box for run support and has the hips and speed to not get abused in the slot *cough* Ciante *cough*

That would be handy but I would think he'd be more suited to the outside. Tackling would be good but usually taller players aren't known for their change-of-direction trying to cover slants, outs and other quick routes you get out of the slot.
