Johnson - AKA the "Beast" was highly overrated and never got off the scout team.

Martin is here, he's fourth or fifth on the depth.

Nicks is in the NFL yes, he's a Saint.

Smith is an OLineman now

Spain was lazy and didn't want to compete, quit.

Young left the team.

This class was better than the 2005 class (which had only 11 make any contribution at all, and only 6-7 with significant contributions). This 2006 class has 14 who have already contributed and 8-9 who have already done so in a significant sense (with potentially more coming). This class, on a scale of 1-10 where a 5 is an average Husker class is likely a 4.5 -5.5.

In composite, the 2005 and 2006 classes were a bit below the normal Nebraska average --- despite the hyperbole associated with the recruiting acumen of coach Callahan
