While checking out Clemson's roster, I see that the vast majority of their players are from instate. With the talent rich hotbed of the southeast, they don't have to venture far. Most others are from Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama. They don't venture far north of the Mason-Dixon Line (must be the Yankee thing) - 2 from Ohio, 1 from Illinois. They've stayed clear of anything within the Louisiana Purchase zone. They did venture to California for 1 and Texas for 1.

Most reports indicate they've recruited some top-shelf classes in recent years and are stacked with talent.

We have faced the fact that we probably won't be able to steal recruits from across the nation, so we stick to the southeast where we feel that we'll have a better chance...

We have faced the fact that we probably won't be able to steal recruits from across the nation, so we stick to the southeast where we feel that we'll have a better chance...

Good thing we don't take that view in Nebraska about recruiting kids in Texas, or we wouldn't have many quality recruits. :sarcasm
