Coach Raymond Video

Assistant Coach
[Husker Extra]

Pretty good interview with our new DBs coach. I'm liking this staff.

Coach Raymond is very open and had a lot to say.

Anyone hear Jason Peter go off about this interview. He mention he was going to take this secondary to the next level. Jason Peter apparently thought he was throwing a jab at marvin Sander a fellow Blackshirt.

Hm, I listened to the whole interview but that part didn't jump out at me.

Maybe Jason knows if there's a bit more to what it seems (some coachspeak and friendly banter with reporters), but it seems like he's being a little sensitive.

I absolutely LOVE Jason but he gets overly sensitive about anything that isn't heaping praise on how good the team was when he was here.

Ding. Ding. Jason is a "back in the day" guy...

I'm sure that was not Raymond's intention, by any means. Sanders was a fantastic DB coach and Raymond should feel inspired to be taking over for him.

That said, Jason Peter is by far one of the most annoying people I've listened to when it comes to Husker football. Does he have a good foundation for his opinions? Yes. Does he know more about the game of football than I ever will? Absolutely.

But the guy can't see passed his own opinions. And as saunders45 pointed out, Peter has made a name for himself by basing almost all of his opinions off of his playing days. Everything is always a "Well, back when I played..." deal with Peter.

Most of the time, when he's talking, I tune it out.
