Bill Callahan earns the 5th highest base salary in Div.1-A at $1.7 million. However, other coaches have a larger compensation package, thus bringing in a greater combined income each year. Check out the next link for a sortable chart of earnings (requires Macromedia Flash Player).

Sortable salaries

VERY COMPREHENSIVE..tons of graphs

Looks like according to Callahans contract he will receive a bonus of 1/24th his salary for making it into the Big 12 Championship.

I think I'm reading it right, but he should make a bonus of 1/12th his salary for making a BCS game

Outside income is considerable I am sure. Hasn't it always been that way at NU. How much does he get for the Callahan TV show? I wish I could get a job where my employer had to use his best business practices to get me more money from outside soures for personal services contracts and for endorsements for athletic apparel.

But then, I'd be a coach and wouldn't be paying attention to us arm-chair types on this BBS :clap

And, I wonder if CU is embarassed that they've set up all those endorsement deals for their new "coach"

Who would honestly want to sponsor CU??? The only thing I can think of is a bunch of lawyers to get them all out of trouble!!!
