Coaches celebrating on the sidelines pumping up the players

This is something that I wish I would see more of and not only Bo but any other assistants getting pumped up running onto the field and pumping up our players. The Missouri game was the only game I saw our coaches getting pumped up and excited after big plays. You saw both Bo and Carl celebrating and pumping up the players after some 3 and outs and running onto the field, it was freakin awesome and it made me want to go tackle my refrigerator.

I would like to see this happen more and I believe the players feed off of that and thats something that this team could use till the season is over. It seems that there have been numerous games that our players just didn't look like they wanted to play or motivated enough to perform well (SDSU, Texas, ISU).

Paul Rhoads during the Husker game was running onto the field after big plays pumping up his players. The players see that and they feed off of it and one reason why ISU played the way they played to almost beat us.

Thoughts???

I guess I don't mind not seeing it as much as other coaches around college football. It's like anything else....if it is done over and over...it kind of loses it's meaning. I don't recall Dr Tom or even Charlie McBride doing this either.

paul rhodes looked like an idiot during the Nebraska game. like mentioned above, Dr Tom didnt go all loose cannon. Completely unnecessary in my book. I like Bo's energy, but going batsh#t isnt what Nebraska is all about.

You've mixed up your cause and effect. The players don't execute well because the coaches get excited. The coaches get excited because the players execute well.

I think some of you are missing the point here and more or less are thinking about Bo's sideline behavior instead of pumping up the players. Bob Devaney and Charlie McBride pumped up their player during big plays on big games, Tom Osborne is a different story though.

I saw the way Bo and Carl reacting on the sidelines during huge plays that resulted in 3 and outs during the Missouri game. I saw the same Bo Pelini in the Missouri game as the Bo Pelini in the bowl game in 2003. Fist pumping his players and coming out onto the field during huge plays congratulating the players getting them motiviated. That Missouri game was a huge game for us bigger than the Texas game because it was going to decide who wins the North. The players fed off of that and dominated throughout the whole game. They played with passion and got motivated to play better and was hands down the best performance we've seen this team play so far.

Whether Paul Rhodes looked like an idiot or not (I didn't think he looked like an idiot), he got his players fired up and motivated enough to almost beat us. That was a huge game for ISU and they dominated us for most of the game and gave us a scare. Whether you think Paul Rhodes looks like an idiot but he can coach and motivate his players to beat just about anybody...well maybe not Oklahoma and Utah.

I love to see Bo and Carl pumping thier fists, and showing some positive emotion during a game. Especially when he did it so much last year, and now we dont see it that often. And as a player I would lave to see that passion, fire, and heart from my head coach.

I think our coaching staff already does this more than 90% of the rest of the country's coaching staffs.

How do you feel about Mike Ekeler?

Wow, Ek still got some springs! I think it's awesome the way Ekeler keeps the guys fired up. Sure don't want a dead sideline.
