Coaches Poll - Up 3 Spots - #11

This is the point where we always lose a game - that point where we rise tantalizingly close to the Top 10 but just outside of it.

Pelini's Nebraska usually plays its worst game of the season at that very point, regardless of the opponent. In years past this is where we'd choke against an ISU or a Texas Tech or Northwestern.

Hope I am incorrect.

We're pretty good. Not sure we're Top 15 good yet.

Would you put your own money on Nebraska beating Auburn?

Or Texas A&M?

Or Wisconsin?

All three of our final regular season games?

I'm waiting for the Huskers to step up, and so is the rest of college football. I don't see it as disrespect. People who've jumped on the Nebraska bandwagon the past few years have gotten burned.

One game at a time. That's all we need to think about.

I don't ever put money on the Huskers out of principle. Every time I've tried in the past we've lost.

I'm done messing up our JuJu.

That Drew Sharp idiot still has Nebraska #20 and Sparty is unranked now in his ballot.
1. Florida State

2. Mississippi State

3. Alabama

4. Oregon

5. TCU

6. Arizona State

7. Baylor

8. Auburn

9. Mississippi

10. UCLA

11. Georgia

12. Arizona

13. Ohio State

14. Clemson

15. Georgia Tech

16. Marshall

17. Duke

18. LSU

19. Kansas State

20. Nebraska

21. Notre Dame

22. Oklahoma

23. Utah

24. Texas A&M

25. Louisville

I think that if your ballot is significantly statistically different from the final poll - your spot will be given up to the next guy.
edit: NM, saw the original post.

How do you not rank Mich St? That is idiotic...

The Amway poll is the USA Today coaches poll. ESPN is slow to get it up on their site. The rankings you list are all last week. CFP won't come out until Tuesday night. Not sure when AP comes out today.
Thanks! I didn't know that.

Amway was simply Coaches Poll sponsor. Next year, Viagra Coaches Poll

LOL Funny! Now that I know they are the same, I'll do the happy dance with you!

and a big thank you to the Duke blue devils for stepping up and having a good year so we're not the lowest one loss team from the power 5 conferences!!

I won't be totally shocked if the playoff poll has TCU instead of Alabama.
TCU has an issue no one is talking about. Baylor owns the Head to Head and if they win out will be BXII champs. That will hurt TCU in the poll as Baylor will most certainly move ahead of them if they win out.
True. But I thought the committee representative mentioned that they are looking more than solely among conference champions. I look at the body of work TCU has done week in and out despite no CCG to play for.

They were underdogs to #4 Oklahoma that was 4-0 while receiving first place votes. They beat OU.

The following week they played at #5 Baylor, were up 21 in the fourth quarter and lost by a FG.

Next they whipped #15 Oklahoma State 42-9

Then destroyed unranked Texas Tech 82-27

After then it was ESPN Gameday in Morgantown against #20 West Virginia and TCU won on a FG.

Which lead to this past weekends 5th ranked opponent in six games - roughing up #7 Kansas State 41-20.

I don't know what else they need to do to validate their success, despite no CCG to play for. IMO they have done a lot more to deserve a shot than another one loss Power 5 Conference Championship Game winner that may have only competed against one or two additional ranked teams.

And I think if f a team that did this so far and was the Huskers, USC, Notre Dame, or any other team it would be a no-brainer. TCU is one of a few reasons why those teams they beat started to drop and or/are no longer ranked. They created the the blueprint of beating them.

TCU has earned all my respect and IMO should get a shot in the tournament as long as they win out.
