I was stunned to see Tyrone Willingham fired today as Notre Dame's coach. I was reading on ESPN.com, that their #1 guy is Urban Meyer. He used to be an assistant there in the '90s. Butch Davis also resigned from the Cleveland Browns spot today. It appears that Florida is in hot pursuit of him. Anybody have any insight as to who may fall where?

 
yeah you have it pretty well right. Meyer is a lock to notre dame. Davis is pretty good chance for florida and possibly zook to penn state but that is a guess.

I've also heard that davis wants to take a year off from coaching so we will see.

 
Zook to Penn State? JoePa said he plans on honoring his contract and he wants a hand-picked successor.

Stanford- Walt Harris(not announced officially)

Washington- Tyrone Willingham(not announced officially)

Utah State- Brent Guy

Illinois- Ron Zook

South Carolina- Steve Spurrier

Flordia- Urban Meyer

East Carolina- Skip Holtz

UNLV- Mike Sanford

Utah- Kyle Whittingham

Western Michigan- Bill Cubit

Ohio, Indiana, Mississippi, San Jose St., New Mexico St. and BYU are still open.

 
BYU would be foolish not to offer Norm Chow whatever he wanted to come to Provo. He does wonders with quarterbacks.

 
A great offensive mind. I talk to people who have heard him speak and it like listening to a surgeon. It's all about "triangles" on passing routes.

Didn't BYU pass on Chow years ago, when he was the offensive coordinator and the head coach retired - and that really ticked him off? If I'm remembering correctly, BYU may not be able to get him no matter what was offered.
