Riley's there. Saw a picture on twitter.
You have absolutely no clue about what you're talking about. None.![]()
It would not matter either way of winning or losing but at least give him the honor of leading the team to a bowl. The admin did not let him finish what he started and the new HC is waiting in the wing to take over anyway as the old staff in preparing for the bowl game. Back in a time in college football, they usually wait till after a bowl game to dismiss an HC, not before. The AD jumped the gun.
Sometimes schools in bowl games are left without coaches because the coach has moved to another school (e.g., Colorado State this year).
But most schools don't fire their coaches if they're gong to bowl games. Nebraska seems to be the only school that fires their 9-3 head coach before a bowl game. But then again, that's why Nebraska fans are special snowflakes.

good chance to see his under classmen.....I read on a S.D. paper that Coach Riley would be in a suite. Connections from his days with the Bolts.
Your knowledge of college football seems to be limited to your rather uninformed opinion. Being a 9-3 coach these days doesn't mean as much as it once did and TO averaged 10+ over 25 seasons. As for this 'snowflake' you can... well, think of a way to get back into your can before ISometimes schools in bowl games are left without coaches because the coach has moved to another school (e.g., Colorado State this year).
