Pledges rolling in

A pair of defensive tackles, Joseph Townsend and Terrence Moore, orally pledged Sunday to join Nebraska's 2007 recruiting class, according to both Scout.com and Rivals.com.

In addition, NU reportedly picked up pledges from outside linebacker Austin Stafford and wideout Wallace Franklin.

The rundown:

-- The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Townsend, of Foothills (Calif.) College, is rated as a four-star prospect by both services. He's a brother of former Husker d-lineman Larry Townsend (1994-95). Joseph says Larry is his mentor.

-- The 6-3, 267-pound Moore, a prep player out of New Orleans, is a three-star by Scout and a two-star by Rivals. He had 14 sacks this past season.

-- The 6-2, 197-pound Stafford, a prep player out of Hayward, Calif., is a four-star by Scout and a three by Rivals. Scout ranks him No. 11 nationally at weakside LB.

-- The 6-3, 175-pound Franklin is a three-star wideout in both services' rankings. He committed to NU's class of 2005, but ended up at Butler County (Kan.) Community College, where he earned NJCAA All-America honors this season.
