Comparing Nebraska's most colorful coaches of late

That 2006 team was just like all of the rest of our good teams over the last decade.

Great against patsys, pretty decent against decent teams with one or two hiccups (overtime vs Kansas and the loss to Oklahoma State where we started the game out 17-0), and sputtering to an ugly hault against the top competition.
I'm gonna defend Polo against Landlord here guise.......

I can see where he's coming from. Our losses in 2006 against some stellar competition were respectable. I know the debate on the USC game on what it coulda been/shoulda been. But we had top 5, defending NC Texas on the ropes. We were right with Oklahoma almost all the way, and frankly shoulda beat Auburn. Ok St game was rather funky, but yeah, we did lead 17-0. And those were the days when Okla St was beginning to evolve into that "not pushover". In 2011 and 2013, our losses were pretty ugly, against less stellar teams.

True,
I think in regards to football, "turned around" and "where we want to be" are two different things. Are we where we want to be? Hell no. We're always wanting to be better. To be that team. But are we "turned around"? I think we are. I think the ship is righted and stabilized. Now it's just a matter of taking that next step. Kinda of a "learn to crawl before you can walk" type of deal.

I agree with you as well on Miles having the longer leash so to speak. He does seem more likeable to many (of coures i just happen to like Bo the way he is cuz I just seem to relate to his demeanor better than most) and he is working on something that's "never been there". Bo driving something that's expected and most desired to be there.
Good point. I think we agree.

The ejection is the result and not the point. It was Miles 2nd technical. He's a competitor.....a passionate competitor.
Bo gets a single foul called and everyone loses their sh#t. Miles gets throw I out of a game and he's passionate. Got it.
Pelini was fiery and compassionate the first couple of years, too. Now the Bo-leavers decided that winning 9/10 games per year isn't good enough and it deprives them of their birthright.
I see you have over 2000 posts over at Hawkeye Nation. At least I now understand your willingness to accept our football team's performance. You hang out on that board too much.
I can't access Huskerboard from my pc at work, it's blocked, so there is that little tidbit of truth. Posting from my phone sucks, its cumbersome and time consuming.

I guess I must have missed that because coach A is X, it means that coach B has to be a clone.

So do you admit that. Bo sounded like a former Nebraska coach who was dismissed, one of the reasons being his crap attitude?

I don't see why we keep arguing about Bo Pelini's attitude.

No evidence is going to change anyone's opinion until football season begins; when the real adversity hits and when we can see Bo Pelini's "true colors." Why are we just running around in circles here?

Because replying "ZOMG we are looking like teh awesomez!!!!!" In every puff piece article written and summarily posted here gets old too?

Yeah, it does. But I guess it's the offseason...gotta have something to talk about.

True enough.

Hopefully someone gets banned again.

Sure. But what does that have to do with the price of condoms? Looks like anyone who thought that he was done ended up being wrong.

I won't entertain answering the low hanging fruit/cheap shot.

Well at least we know when we start winning more we'll get back to seeing the real dickish Bo, beins he's only doing this stuff cuz he's on the hot seat.
