I am here in the desert and some people hear have something plugged into thier computers and they can watch tv on it.

it looks like a antenna and is plugged into the usb port.

how many of you have heard of this, is it worth the cost, and where could I get one?

it is not something that you have to have an internet connection to watch tv

so help me out here

I have heard of these USB tv antennas also. I don't know how well they work though. Newegg has a lot of them. One time charge of 60-70 bucks doesn't seem too bad.

I use a tv tuner for my home office pc. It's not a usb one though, its a desktop pci card. It was $80. It was worth it IMO. The picture is great (HD), but I only get a half dozen channels here in omaha. It's nice to be able to watch tv and use the computer at the same time, even if you are posting on HB and only listening to it.
