Former Nebraska RB, former Clemson RB coach, and current Crimson Tide coach Burton Burns on having a Heisman winner and a National Championship.

When I was a trainer at Clemson, he was there. When we were in Boston to play BC one year, we were getting ready to go out to eat/Fenway area on Friday night before the game. He caught us before we left the hotel, and walked outside with us. He gave the cab driver $200 and said take these guys wherever they want to go, and when they tell you a time to pick them up, you better be there. He then got the cab driver's name and number, and told us to call him if we had any problems and he'd take care of it.

Also, he used to tell us stories about playing at Nebraska, and how great it was. So, to a great man, player, and coach, congratulations Coach Burns.

And I go back awhile with Husker football.

No carries or receptions for Burton Burns, but he shows up in th 1976 stats under Total Offense as having two plays for seven yards.
