A woman's headless torso found in Los Angeles appears to be related to two plastic bags of body parts found in Pico Rivera, Calif., authorities said.
The torso, wrapped in garbage bags, was found Monday in a trash receptacle at a Los Angeles Fire Department maintenance facility, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Los Angeles County (Calif.) Sheriff's Police said it would take a couple days to determine if the torso is related to body parts found Friday by a motorist in Pico Rivera.
Carlos Gudino said he was parking his sport-utility vehicle when he ran over one of the bags Friday, which felt like a speed bump.
Gudino said a friend got out of the SUV to look at what they had hit.
He comes up to us and says, 'Dude, those are legs,' Gudino said.
So, Gudino said, he got out of the vehicle and looked.
"Sure enough, there are two legs," he said.
County officials worked to identify the body parts.
