I seen this on another board and thought it was fitting. The defenses did better when he was NOT THE COACH! I for one am sick of hearing about this guy! I am a die hard Husker fan but the writing is on the wall folkes, this guy NEEDS TO BE REPLACED at the end of the year!

You are correct! Look at the little numbers next to his rated defenses while he is the actual DC. They are better AFTER or BEFORE he arrived! Pretty sad really...........

There is a joke about Vin Diesel and how his name, rearranged, spells his credo, "I end lives". Unfortunately, Cosgrove's name doesn't seem to spell, "I end defenses". WTH?

Not real sure. I am guessing they wanted to hold him out today to give him as much time as possible to get ready for conference play.

I'm not going to argue the stats, but I would say that in my opinion a better stat to ascertain a defenses worth in winning games is points allowed. In my opinion, most other defensive stats simply lead to that stat.
