If Nebraska beats Auburn, would this be the elusive signature win for Callahan?
Agreed. A signature win is such only in hindsight. It depends on the level of sucess subsequently. For example, assume Huskers win - but then go 5-7 next year. Conversly, assume the Huskers win, then next year go 11-1 or 12-0. Then it becomes a signature win...I don't know if we can just have a self proclaimed signature win. We just need to let it happen and then sit back and realize that "wow, that was a big win for Callahan."
This might be going a little far. A couple of ESPN broadcasters (can't remember who) picked Iowa to win the Big Ten. Corso picked Cal as national champs. If we win, I think we will be the sexy pick for "dark-horse" national champ.
I am just saying people could start to pick that to happen. We will have a lot of talent returning next yearThis might be going a little far. Didn't work out so well for them...
I guess that kind of depends on what a person considers a signature win.Holy Crap. Are we still waiting for BC's signature win?? Still???
