Ok fans...here's my blog. Saw the announcement that Cox Omaha was carrying the game on Tuesday. Called CoxKansas on Wednesday and they found it to be offered. Ordered it. Checked my bill on Thursday eve and yep, they charged me. Went to their website and couldn't find the channel number. Called c/s and they said yes I had it ordered so I was confirmed and to check in Saturday am for the channel.
So I invited friends over to watch the game. Went to the local office this am to rent two additional converter boxes to get to the tier the game would be on. They only had ONE BOX in stock. Rented it but it was reasonable at only $5/mo. Then asked the rep what channel the game was on...he couldn't find it!
Took the box home and I tried to find the game. BLACK OUT! I called Cox for help and they apologized as they don't know the lineup until Friday night. I was told they wished the info on what games would be on would be more timely. Interesting that Cox chose ESPN radio on one of the slots instead of showing a live broadcast but I assume that channel was reserved for a little later kick.
I had friends and potential customers here to view and had to tell them our get together was cancelled. Any plaintiff's attorneys that want to take this one on? I am pissed off. Of course, Cox credited my account for the PPV and the rental box.
Told them I would soon be a 'former customer' over this as their satellite competitors had ordering info for the past couple of days. It is incredible with the amount of direct mail that I get from them wanting me to upgrade to their phone and internet service and then they do this to me. So my question is:
I'm going back to satellite. I spend $80/mo with Cox for basically all their top tier programming excluding any subscription movie/sports extras like ESPN game day.
I am not impressed with the lack of channels I pay for High Def with Cox either. What is your favorite and why?
Cox. You are really bad. And don't threaten me either. I have names and times that I spoke to your reps and a bill that I already paid for a promised service that was not delivered. An apology would be good for starters.
