Culber switching positions

All-Conference
Just heard on the radio that Major Culbert is switching to cb to make up for the lack of depth at the position. Sean Callahan will be on 1620 at around 5:45 to confirm if it's true.

Sounds good. We need all the depth we can out there. And some size too, especially when one of the starting corners is 5'5" (uh, I mean listed at 5'8). ;)

Good move. It's too bad Nichols State is a option/wishbone team. Saturday would have been a perfect opportunity to get Spain, Brothers, and now Culbert some serious PT at the corner spot.

Anyone else see Thenarse on special teams?? He was doing pretty well - looked like he was having fun.

This is a good move in my opinion. Culbert will have his whole career to learn the corner position and hopefully can contribute to the team in that position this year.

I think it would be a good idea to rotate these young backups into the game early against Nicholls State. They may be a running team, but they will pass on occasion, and it might be to our benefit in the long run to get them some snaps early and with the first string defense.

Sounds like a good move for him, but what happened to Anthony West? Is he still gimpy?
Sean Callahan was saying on Big Red wrapup that West probally won't see much time this year unless we have some more injuries.

On the new depth chart released today, Culbert is still listed as a back-up safety
This same depth chart will probably be listed all year. Callahan had Ross Pilkington listed as the #1 WR a few years ago and he didn't play in 3 or 4 games in a row.
