Probably starting a thread about cycling in the dead of winter makes little sense, but the weather has been great so far.

Getting in more miles than usual.

Anyone else out and about on the road or trails ?

New addition to my morning commute:

Since I have to have some coffee ( with or without octane...) never was safisfied with how to carry some to get me down the road.

Remembered that a while back I purchased a bottle of "B & B" that came with this little 12oz, double walled thermos.

It fits great into this cozy thing my wife got me and fits really well in my bottle cage.

Now I find an excuse to stop on the way and get a fix.

I'm not, but I need to be. Back in the day I biked a LOT. 15 miles daily, some longer rides thrown in for fun. I haven't been on my bike in a while, though, but this year I'm planning on getting back into it.

Knapplc, best thing I ever did was get back out there.

My oldest son upgraded, so I got his Trek 4900 MTB ( think he was embrassed to be around an old guy on a Scwinn Varsity...)

Put street tires on it, so use it to commute to work.

It's about 6 miles each way and I'm only doing 1 to 2 days a week this winter.

Hope to get to 4 days this summer.

I am closer to 60 then 20, so I needed something to put up a fight against nature.

It's 54° here and I'm going out for a ride!
