Nebraska AD Troy Dannen on Huskers Radio Network said he is looking into "squeezing" one of the weekends of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament into Pinnacle Bank Arena "We want to get more fans into our building"

“I’m going to guess we continue to play in a non-traditional venue,” Dannen said. “No, it’s not Madison Square Garden.” In response to multiple B10 away matches being moved to their basketball arena. The not MSG is a responce to rumors of Nebraska possible playing Rutgers in the MSG next season.

He also expects the volleyball team to play a regular-season game at Pinnacle Bank Arena next season.

I know they keep spending money on the Devaney, but why not just move the VB team into Pinnacle also, full time? They'd fill it and it would be awesome. Seems so simple but what do I know.

Beefing The Bob up to 10,000 is certainly a great move. I'm not sure how volleyball would work at PBA fulltime. Basketball games and their other events would seem to present some scheduling headaches, as well as the team having difficulty practicing on their home court on regular basis.

UNL does not own PBA. No way there is enough open days to schedule volleyball, basketball & other events.

Looks like they have 8 events for the 31 days of October. Seems like a lot of days available to me. 10 events in 30 days in November.

Of those dates in Nov., half the home vollyball games are in conflict with other events at PBA. Plus, you dont book every day as there are venues changes that need to be made!

Because the schedule was made without that in mind. They could make it work if they wanted to. The schedules at a lot of other large arenas fit in way more. Ball arena here in Denver flips between basketball and hockey, with concerts and WWE in between. It absolutely can be done.
