Darn Elton John Concert

Oldschool

Three-Star Recruit
Soooo, we bought Elton John tickets for this Saturday at the Qwest center. I know I'm not alone - there's got to be others out there who thought we could watch the game during the afternoon, and then go to the concert that night. Well, as fate would have it, Elton starts at 8:00pm and the game starts at 8:15pm.

I'm sure I'll see someone else in the crowd with the earbud in, and I'll ask him for the score when he jumps out of his chair cheering. It will be just like those crazy people who schedule a wedding on a Husker gameday. What are these people thinking??????

Anyone else going to be missing the game Saturday?

Yeah i am going to probably miss most of it. I am in my buddy's wedding, however he is an Iowa fan. The game will be going on during the reception, hopefully i can find a t.v. or i may have to go to the car and catch updates.

What is up with friends scheduling their impending nuptials during football season? At least they had the foresight to do it over an away game, eh? I have the same problem this weekend with the OSU @TAMU game - good friends getting married about an hour after the game starts.

Reverend: "Does anyone object to this marriage?"

Guy with earbud: "Stop those bastages!"

Yeah I'm going to Baton Rouge to see the Florida/LSU game with my girlfriend (an LSU alumn)...we got tickets before the game times were out and of course they're at the same time...since I dragged her all the way to Wake Forest for the Huskers I owe her this one...and it should be a pretty good game...just too bad Florida lost to Auburn and it's not a #1 vs #3/4 any more...my eyes will be glued to the scoreboard and the NU score....

That sucks, if I were you, I would start to feel really sick in a couple of days. Your breaking too many Husker Man laws.

Elton John can be one of the best concerts you can see at times. Very few people are as musically talented. If you cant record the game, I say make money off the tickets and catch another show later. Never miss a game. JMO

I got to see Elton John and Billy Joel when they were in concert together. It was pretty impressive.........however any Husker game still prevails in the coolness factor, even if it is a loss.
