At Nebraska, Humm:

finished 5th in the Heisman voting in 1974

was 1st team All American in 1974

was All Big 8 in 1974

was a captain in 1974

participated in the 1975 Senior Bowl and Coaches All America Game

lettered from 1972-1974

was inducted into the Nebraska football Hall of Fame in 1985

was drafted in the 5th round by Oakland in 1975

holds the school record for completion percentage in a game (min 20 attempts) with a 23 for 27 (85.19%) day against Kansas in 1974

holds the school record for consecutive completions in a game with 15, also against Kansas in 1974

has 5 of the top 50 passing performances in school history

is 9th in career total yards in school history

is 5th in career passing yards in school history

many more achievements as well

 
Travis Hill, an OLB/DE in the early 90s has also passed away. He was a stud for the Blackshirts when McBride switched to the 4-3.

Mentioned this about an hour ago in my status, heart attack.  

The guy was a stud.  Wrecked his knee at the end of his senior year and pretty much cancelled a pro career for him.  Saved our bacon down in Lawrence in 1993 breaking up a two point conversion at the end of the game up 21-20
