My dad tells this hilarious story of Wonder Monds and Osborne.
Osborne wasn't crazy about Wonder's huge Afro because he fussed over it all the time during practice. TO told wonder to shave that thing down one day. The next day Wonder put half a jar of Vaseline on it to grease it down and appear shorter. Osborne was pretty happy about that.
After practice was over and Wonder pulled his helmet off, the sweat had taken most of the Vaseline off, Wonder's hair was back at full troll doll size...Osborne was dumbfounded at the transformation and realized there was nothing he could do about it.
Oh, the 70s...
