It is Early january and the Huskers are ranked # 2 in the country and we are headed for the Title game. The huskers are playing florida and we are the underdogs again. Just like we were against the short horns during the Big 12 title game.
It is the 3rd qtr and we are down by 6 and Sam keller connects to Nunn for a 80 yard catch that puts us in the lead. The black shirts get the boost they needed and start shutting down urban meyers tricky offense. We are wearing them down. Lucky runs for 20 yards then 15 yards we are pounding the rock now and then it is lucky for a 30 yard TD run. the gators cant believe it.
The 4th qtr starts and we are now up by 8 and Bowman picks off a pass and returns it 40 yards to mid field. They were close but not with Bowman back there. BC has decided to pound the rock again and try for the kill with a long drive and score. Our backs are getting 3 to 4 yards per carry and you can see the gators are tired and desperate. we are at the 20 and it is lucky again up the middle and he just will not go down. He gets to the end zone with defenders on his back and the game is almost out of reach for the defending champs.
The black shirts know it is all pass now for the reptiles out of their comfort zone called the swamp and the Black shirts are pinning their ears back and hammering the QB as he releases the ball on almost every play. It is 4th and 7 from the 50 and Potter hits the QB from behind and a Blitzing Mckeon picks up the fumble and runs the 50 yards to the end zone.
Time is gone for the Gators as we kick off with 1:22 on the clock. They cannot beat us but the Black Shirts are showing their teeth and they want to get another. The gators throw the ball as time expires and Grixby steals it from the receiver and he is rushing down the sideline with his arm in the air showing a #1 sign.
The Huskers have made a loud and proud statement. WE are back and you will have to deal with us for a long time as we have completed the best recruiting season in the History of Husker football. Call the order restored.
