DeAndre Wills said by phone he left NU b/c of 2 family illnesses. He's considering transfer to Jacksonville State, 1 hr north of hometown.

The silver lining for us, with regards to The Great JUCO DE debate thread, is that this should put us in a better position to layer out the DE position better. We had a lot of bodies, all in one year (this year's true freshman class), none of them coming in super highly touted or, I think, expected to make much year 1 impact. It's a little harder to address what is already a need at the position when there are a lot of scholarships tied up there already for the forseeable future.

I've only heard that there was a family illness and since he was the oldest male figure in the family he felt best to return home. Can't really fault him in this circumstance.
