So, how about I almost got hit by a deer coming home from work last night.....in my own yard?! Guess I scared him and he ran right out in front of me from the yard across our driveway! (Scared the crap outta me too!)

 
Those things are dangerous as hell which is why I hate them with a passion. I can't tell you how many accident reports I've had to do because of deer. I was responding to a driver traveling down the wrong side of the road one night and I was on one of the back highways to get there. I was going about 90 or so with my top lights and siren on when what do I see on the northside of the road? A deer...............I immediately said don't you do it you S.O.B. He ran right out in front of me, jumped and his back legs grazed the hood of my patrol car and he was fine and ran off in the field. Meanwhile I had slammed my brakes on, crapped myself, and began sweating because I thought I just died. I HATE DEER........... <_<

:laughpound I'm with ya. When you leave my house we call the first 7 miles the "DSA" short for Deer Suicide Alley.

We have quite a few deer in our area as well. I've had a few almost step out in front of me. Definitely slows you down for a little while

 
Our fair city of about 200,000 inhabitants has a river that runs through it and lots of wooded areas. It would not suprise me that we have 500+ deer living here. Ample food and no preditors. I've often thought of taking my cross bow on a hunt here in town. My luck I'd run into the Sioux Falls Bri and get thrown into the pokey. I'm with ya Bri, I hate 'em too. There is no Bambi!

My dad hit a deer up by Nederland, Co and had to have the whole front end of his tunaboat 1968 Chrysler rebuilt. epic fail. I thought the car was indestructible when I drove the thing like a dragster??? Powerbrakin' with the retreads smokin' :rollin

They are getting pretty "fearless" here. My in-laws have a couple of deers that stand and look in their front window!
