I was very impressed by the defense today. We set our offense up but they couldnt execute. Our D-Line and Linebackers did a good job at shutting down the run today and puting Auburn in third in long. Our secondary actually did ok. Other than Auburn throwing it up over Grixby to Taylor we did ok. I thought we shut down their big play ability. I was impressed with Bo Ruud today, he was flying around making tackles hats off to him. And really we only let them score 3 points.

I thought they played awesome today. Shut down a lot of great athletes. Auburn looked out of sync, but NU had much to do with that.

I saw a lot of good against a very good team. we are getting closer

Agreed. I thought the defense played well. Enough to win anyway. They gave the offense the ball with ~3 minutes left on the AU 40. Can't get much better than that I think.

I agree that the defense played well yesterday. We played very well in the first half and Auburn began to move the ball a little bit in the second half because of their adjustments and also because we may have softened up a little bit. Overall our defense got the job done and left it in the hands of the offense to win it just like they did in Kansas City. :bonez

I agree that the D did an excellent job for the most part. But, the breaks didn't go to the Huskers. I am still dissappointed in the CB play of Grixby. With all his priceless enthusiasm, once again, his getting beat by a much bigger receiver cost the touchdown that was the difference. But, that really didn't change the game. All in all you should be able to give up a TD pass and still win. I am also a little concerned about the tackle technique displayed. Once again, very little hit/wrap/drop. Lots of trying to lay the wood, but little technique.

So, alas, once agin, the refrain must be, Wait till next year! It ain't going to get any easier so the Huskers have to keep improving.

Ever onward. :bonez

I thought the defence played one of their best games of the year if not their best one. I was thinking if Callahan has such a big play book why couldn't he change up the play calling in the second half to make the other teams adjustments to what we were doing in the first half a non factor. Really put them on their heels. He has just as much time as the other team to make adjustments in the play calling. The old days we just over powered people even when they knew what was coming. Today it's more of a mind game, good blocking, good execution, good play calling. Liked the Option and now I like the WCO. I guess I just like watching the Huskers play.

GBR!!! ;)
